Luciano Bueno is a Senior Consultant specializing in Brazilian federal, state, and local government policies in the area of public safety and security. Luciano has an extensive background working in the public and private sectors including positions with Unibanco, Banco Bamerindus, Volkswagen-Brasil, Hidroservice Engenharia, and the state and municipal governments of São Paulo.

As a consultant and academic researcher, Luciano has directed and participated in numerous studies and projects on behalf of clients in the public and private sectors including, the United Nations Development Program-UNDP, the Secretary of Public Security for the State Government of São Paulo, the municipal government of São Paulo, Fundação SEADE, and Instituto Sou da Paz.

Luciano received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Sao Paulo (USP) and a Masters degree in Public Administration from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation –São Paulo. He has published a variety of articles and participate din numerous international conferences on the subjects of gun control and public security. He is a Ph.D candidate at the Fundaçao Getúlio Vargas and professor at the Fundação do Desenvolvimento Administrativo-Fundap in São Paulo.
